Today you might have noticed that Splendid Bacon had some downtime. This was due to a server migration we had been planning for sometime. At the same time we deployed some much needed improvements to Splendid Bacon.
HTTPS

From now on everything on Splendid Bacon will be served over HTTPS so you can use Splendid Bacon without worry from your favourite coffee shop.
Completed Projects

Initially Splendid bacon shipped with the most minimal states for projects that we could think of (‘Ongoing’ and ‘On Hold’), now we’ve expanded the options to also include ‘Completed’.
Filters

In the Dashboard and the Timeline view you can now use filters to change project visibility.
Demo Mode

Originally the demo mode of Splendid Bacon didn’t make it clear that there was no real way of converting a demo account to a real account. Now we’ve added a clear notice about this and disabled invites in the demo mode.
MySQL ⇒ PostgreSQL migration

As we were moving to another server anyway we also took this as an opportunity to switch from MySQL to PostgreSQL. The reasons for this were twofold: the uncertainty of MySQL’s future and the impressive feature set and performance of PostgreSQL.
